The tour begins at the Sport Mandl car park in Gröbming and initially heads south toward Moosheim. Just before reaching the Enns bridge, turn right and follow a peaceful, scenic path along the Enns River. This section is pleasantly flat and calm – ideal for a relaxed start. In Pruggern, cross the main road and continue along the well-signposted Enns Cycle Route R7 toward Aich.
In Aich, a right turn marks the start of the more athletic part of the tour. From here, the route climbs steadily through Assach and continues to the impressive Assacher Scharte, where breathtaking views across the Enns Valley await. Once you reach the paved road heading toward the Stoderzinken, turn left and tackle the final section up to the summit. At the top, several alpine inns invite you to take a well-deserved break with magnificent views. The return follows the same road downhill back to Gröbming.
Access is permitted only from April 15 to October 31, daily from 2 hours after sunrise until 1 hour before sunset.
