Haus im Ennstal

Our farm is located in the district of Ruperting in Haus im Ennstal and is run as a family business with several generations. The careful treatment of nature and animal welfare is very important to us. Our cattle spend 2 summers on our alpine pasture in the Gumpental valley and are slaughtered stress-free on our farm when they are about 30 months old. In the summer months from May to September we produce butter and curd cheese from our milk.

The careful treatment of nature and animal welfare are very important to us. We, Maria and Christoph Hofer, have specialised in fattening steers. Our cattle spend two summers on our alpine pasture in the Gumpental. At the age of about 30 months, the stress-free slaughtering takes place on our farm, after which the meat is hung in the cold room so that it acquires its unmistakable taste and distinctive colour. The 5kg and 10kg meat packages are available in our farm shop by appointment. In the summer months from May to September, we also produce butter and curd cheese from our milk.
