Story
The historic Mesnerhaus in St. Nikolai was built around 1639 and served has always been as a poorhouse, toll station, first school and until 1974 as a hostel for the sacristan people. In 1998 the building was completely renovated. Since then, the former "eyesore" of St. Nikolai is utilized as a museum.
Exhibition "Sunday - in the course of time"
The focus of this exhibition, the people and their lives are at this "holy day". Three generations he-count from their experiences, objects in almost float-glass cases carry as symbols the stories that connect an individual-family members with the topic. The Mesnerhaus is for experienced home Sunday in the nature park Sölktäler.
The Mesnerhaus in Advent
During Advent the Mesnerhaus shines in a particular light Advent calendar. The lovingly decorated windows are opened from the kindergarten and school children on the 4 Advent Saturdays.
