Winter sports enthusiasts and aficionados of Styrian cuisine are celebrating the continuation of "Alpine Cuisine by Richard Rauch." This winter, 15 select mountain huts will each serve a uniquely interpreted gourmet dish — showcasing the pinnacle of culinary mastery right next to the ski slopes, cross-country ski trails, and winter hiking paths. "TASTE Ski amadé" and the Schladming-Dachstein “Genusspartner” are two further initiatives highlighting the culinary strengths of the region.
Four-Toque Chef teams up with Cooks at Mountain Huts
In its five-year history, "Alpine Cuisine by Richard Rauch" has become an essential experience for all food lovers in the Schladming-Dachstein region. This winter, the popular initiative will once again bring top-tier gourmet dishes to the mountain huts of the region. At the helm is renowned chef Richard Rauch, famous from the TV cooking show "Küchenschlacht" and awarded “four toques” by Gault-Millau. Collaborating with local hut proprietors, he has crafted extraordinary gourmet dishes true to the alpine setting. What makes this even more special: each participating hut serves a unique dish made from local ingredients, in some cases even from their own production.
