Bike rental

During the summer months, the bike and hiking bus runs six times a day, conveniently connecting the Planai and Reiteralm (Preunegg Jet) bike parks.
The ride is included with a valid bike ticket or the Schladming-Dachstein Card.
Mountain bikes and e-bikes are transported safely in bike racks—so nothing stands in the way of your biking adventure.

There are numerous rental shops throughout the Schladming-Dachstein region. Mountain bikes, e-bikes, and children’s bikes can be rented there.

To use the bike parks at Planai and Reiteralm (Preunegg Jet), you can rent the appropriate bikes on-site—at Planai, the rental shop is right next to the valley station, and at Reiteralm, it’s right next to the Preunegg Jet.

The range extends from mountain bikes, e-MTBs and trekking bikes to children's bikes.

Many bike rentals stock high-quality brands such as:

  • Specialized
  • Cube
  • KTM

In addition, some stores offer bike fitting or individual advice for the optimal riding position and the perfect riding experience.

Yes. There are numerous e-bike charging stations in the Schladming-Dachstein region—many of them located right next to huts, alpine pastures, and mountain restaurants.

Tip:

  • On longer tours, we recommend taking a short break to recharge while stopping for a meal.
  • Bring your charger and battery key.
  • The charging stations are marked on our tours (online). Using the elevation profile, you can accurately estimate how many meters of elevation gain remain until the next charging station and plan your battery usage accordingly.

The bike ticket and the Schladming-Dachstein Sommercard are also automatically valid for the bike and hiking bus.

This means you are flexible on the go and can easily combine bike tours with the bus.

The bike and hiking bus in the Schladming-Dachstein region can be used spontaneously by individuals - just hop on and take your bike with you.

For groups of 10 people or more, we recommend registering at the Planai bus office at least one day in advance so that there are enough bike transport spaces available.

Bikes can only be loaded at certain stops, which are clearly signposted in the current timetable and at local bus stops.

So that your bike is transported safely:

  • pay attention to the signposted loading points
  • follow the instructions of the driver
  • secure your bike or e-bike properly to the trailer
