Castle Trautenfels

30 years after the Battles of Stalingrad, this chapel was erected by the Austrian Stalingrad Association in Aigen in the Ennstal: 285,000 soldiers of the 6th Army were trapped, many wounded were airlifted. 250,000 soldiers had fallen, frozen to death or died in captivity. In contrast to the history, the area above the village of Ritzmannsdorf is a bright location with a fascinating view.
