Tour description

From the mountain station of the Fageralmbahn, two variants for a winter hike are available to you, which you can of course also combine:
  • the shorter winter hike covers approx. 1.5 km and about 50 vertical meters in 45 minutes to the Trinkeralm and back.
  • the longer winter hike covers approx. 4 km and about 145 vertical meters in 1 1/2 hours via the Premhütte and Lechneralm to the Unterbergalm.
This way you can enjoy winter on the sunny high plateau of the Fageralm and have plenty of opportunities for a stop at one of the huts.

Map, elevation profile & further information

From the mountain station of the Fageralmbahn, follow the signs heading south and slightly uphill to the Trinkeralm; return via the same path.
For the longer variant, at the trail junction to the mountain station, take the groomed path downhill, which leads you through a few curves and a hairpin bend first to the Premhütte and then to the Lechneralm and Unterbergalm.
Return to the mountain station via the same path.
Trail conditions
In Gleiming, exit the Ennstalbundesstraße and continue to Forstau until you reach the valley station of the Fageralmbahn.
Parking spaces are available at the valley station of the Fageralmbahn.
In winter, a ski bus runs to the Fageralm. From Schladming, take line 900S to the Reiteralm and change there to line 902S, which will take you to the Fageralmbahn.

Ankle-high, warm boots, warm clothing, gloves and a hat. Possibly a small backpack with a warm drink in a thermos flask. Grödel/Snowspikes are recommended in case you encounter icy or slippery sections.
