From the Wörschachwalderhof, head north on trail no. 297. At 1300 m above sea level below the Hechelstein, cross to the east and continue on trail 297, via the Geweßler and Hechl farms, to the road and the starting point.

From the Wörschachwalderhof, hike northwards on trail 297. At an altitude of 1300 m below the Hechelstein summit, cross to the east and continue on trail 297, via the Geweßler and Hechl farms, to the road and the starting point.
Leave the B145 Salzkammergut Bundesstraße at Klachau/Zlem in the direction of Wörschachwald and follow the Wörschachwaldweg for about 6 km to the Spechtensee lift.At the car park opposite the Wörschachwalderhof.
Snowshoes, clothing suitable for the weather, hot drink.
