Tour description
The Planneralm herbal educational trail teaches you a great deal about the various herbs in the Planneralm alpine pasture area. You will learn about their healing properties and also about the processing possibilities of the herbs. You can also sample some of the products at the mountain pine distillery.

From the hiking trail head, turn left and immediately after the Alpenhof, turn right onto the alpine path. After a few meters at the crossroads, keep left and hike up the hiking trail. At the first crossroads, turn right and follow the trail over to the junction with the alpine path towards the reservoir. Follow this trail downhill to the Latschenbrennerein (lattice distillery) and then back to the starting point.
From the Ennstal federal road (B320), turn off at the Trautenfels roundabout towards Irdning, Donnersbach, and Donnersbachwald. In Donnersbach, after the town center, turn left towards Planneralm. The 12 km long climb along the toll-free mountain road leads up to Planneralm.
