Taking responsibility, shaping the future.
Our Responsibility
A region worth living in for locals and guests - that is our goal.
As part of our Next Level strategic initiative and the Roadmap 2035 strategy for responsible tourism development, we are actively shaping the future of the region. Together with our partners, we are developing guidelines and measures that bring together ecological, social and economic responsibility and support the development of Schladming-Dachstein as a high-quality year-round destination.
This approach is reflected in many areas – from mobility initiatives and regional cuisine to photovoltaic systems, heat recovery and renewable heating systems, as well as other concrete measures implemented by businesses and partners across the region.
Sustainability that we live by.
Responsibly produced
Printed with care - gentle on nature
That's why we work with our partner print shops to find solutions that protect the environment and conserve resources.
Our basic principles
We use resource-conscious materials, work with regional printing partners and, where possible, choose certified printing companies. Print runs are adjusted to the expected demand to help avoid unnecessary overproduction.
Our partner print shops
- Wallig printing company (Gröbming) - The first print shop in Styria (since 2010) with the Austrian Ecolabel and our reliable partner for over 10 years.
- Druckhaus Rettenbacher (Schladming) - Our regional printing partner, using resource-efficient technologies in its print production.
- Samson Druck (Salzburger Land) - A printing company with a focus on resource-efficient production, including solutions based on the Cradle to Cradle principle.
Our upcycling project
Bag with a history
We upcycled all the material from our outdoor advertising campaign instead of disposing of it. In total, around 580 m² of material that would normally have been disposed of was reused.
Separating waste as it should be
Small contribution, big impact
One simple but important measure is correct waste separation – and everyone can contribute.
A standardised and easy-to-understand information sheet helps hosts and guests in the region correctly separate residual waste, plastic, glass, paper and organic waste.
This makes the different waste streams easier to identify and supports proper waste disposal and recycling in the region.
