The tour

The loop starts at the Hauser Kaibling valley station and initially leads through Weißenbach and past the Flatzerhof and Pircherhof farms onto the Firstweg. The route continues through Birnberg Oberdörfl and past the Timmelbauer onto the Strimitzweg. After a long climb through Rössing and past the Alte Mühle, the trail turns right shortly after the parking area onto the Gabäckerweg, leading to the Silberkarklamm. From there, the route continues along the Rössingweg. After passing the Burgstaller holiday settlement, the trail ascends to the Storn Alm on the left.

The Storn Alm is not serviced but offers breathtaking views of the Schladming-Dachstein holiday region. After a well-earned break, the route leads back via Gsengwand, Burgstaller, and Passeck to Weißenbach. From Weißenbach, riders have the option to take the fee-based singletrack, which is free for Sommercard holders. Alternatively, the tour can be continued on the regular road back to the starting point at the Hauser Kaibling valley station.

Permitted riding times: 2 hours after sunrise until 2 hours before sunset.

Highlights along the route:

  • Storn Alm: Stunning panoramic views over the Schladming-Dachstein region.
  • Diverse landscape: A varied tour through dense forests and open alpine meadows.
  • Singletrack from Weißenbach: A fun trail option with slightly technical sections, fee-based but free for Sommercard users.
