The tour
The second via ferrata on the west side of the Eselstein leads over a ramp through the west wall to the north ridge, from the exit you can reach the summit of the Eselstein in 5 minutes. This easy climb can also be used as a good descent from the Eselstein. It forms a great round with the ascent Eselstein Westgrat, or the Jubiläumssteig.
Turn-by-turn directions
Approach: From the Feistererhof, a well-marked and in the middle part steep hiking trail leads to the Guttenberghaus ("king's stage"). From there you will go towards the Gruberscharte. Then about 15 minutes to the entry point of the Westwand Via Ferrata.

Descent: Descend again via the ascent path or alongthe marked path across the Feisterscharte back to Guttenberghaus
