Friedenskircherl at Stoderzinken

You need to know about the Friedenskircherl: The Friedenskircherl was built in 1902 by Emil Ritter von Horstig and was later chosen as the most beautiful place in Austria 120 years later. It was also visited by Peter Rosegger at Stoderzinken, who wrote the following verse in consideration of its beauty: "What should I write in these mountains full of sunshine? I can only remain silent in reverence and be blessed." In 1982, a special stamp was dedicated to the Friedenskircherl to commemorate its 80th anniversary. Since 1993, the Friedenskircherl has been owned by the Austrian Mountain Rescue, Gröbming branch, which also takes care of its maintenance. The Stoderzinken, and especially the Friedenskircherl, were already filming locations for the ZDF series 'Die Bergretter' which is filmed throughout the region, primarily in Ramsau am Dachstein. In the 3rd season, even the crash of the Friedenskircherl is depicted cinematically. During the filming of 'Die Bergretter', real mountain rescue workers, such as Heri Eisl, are often present to assist. A replica of the Friedenskircherl is located at the eastern entrance of Gröbming on the federal road B320.
