Kristallloipe classic XC trail
Tour description
Wonderfully grommed classic cross-country trail along the Untertal valley, flanked by the impressive mountains of the Schladming Tauern range. Especially in the morning you get a taste from where the tracks got their name.
The track starts at Hinkerbrücke bridge where informattion displays for the XC tracks are located. From there the run takes you into Untertal valley and back to your starting point along 13.5 kms. There are also alternative starting points:
- Starting point "Tettermoor" (at the wooden lookout tower "Wild Waters")
- Starting point "Waldhäuslalm" inn
- Starting point "Weisse Wand" inn

Vom Loipenstart Hinkerbrücke steigt die Loipe bis zum Gasthof Tetter (Montag Ruhetag) recht steil an. Nach kurzer Abfahrt ins Tettermoor führt Dich die Loipe das landschaftlich besonders reizvolle Tettermoor entlang, vorbei am alternativen Einstiegspunkt am Holz-Aussichtsturm des sommerlichen Themenweges Wilde Wasser. In diesem Bereich begleitet die Tettermoor Skating-Loipe die Kristallloipe.
Nach einer kurzen Waldpassage kommst Du zur Waldhäuslalm (Parkplatz & Einstiegspunkt, im Winter Sonntag & Montag Ruhetag). Durch eine weitere kurze Waldpassage gelangst Du auf die herrlichen Wiesen Richtung Sondlalm. Ab hier begleitet die Almenrunde Skating-Loipe die Kristallloipe. Bei der Sulzbergbrücke nach der Sondlalm beginnt die Schleife der klassischen Kristallloipe. Rechts (identisch mit dem Wanderweg „Wilde Wasser“ im Sommer) durch einige Waldpassagen führt Dich die Loipe bis auf Höhe der Angereralm (keine Einkehrmöglichkeit), wo die Loipe wieder etwas stärker ansteigt.
Nach kurzem Anstieg läufst Du wieder eben bis leicht fallend weiter, bis Du auf den Wiesen der Granglalm eine Schleife läufst und über die Brücke zum Sommerparkplatz Riesachfall-Seeleiten gelangst. Nun entlang des Untertalbaches talauswärts und vorbei an der Brücke bei der Angereralm. Kurz darauf erreichst Du das Gasthaus Weiße Wand (Dienstag Ruhetag) und etwas weiter talauswärts wieder die Sulzbergbrücke wo Du dann entlang der bekannten Strecke zurück zum Ausgangspunkt läufst.
With the buses of Planai-Hochwurzen from Schladming or Rohrmoos to one of the following bus stops in Untertal valley:

- Gasthof Tetter inn
- Waldhäuslalm inn
The trails are prepared by the "Flitzemaus" - the trail machine in Untertal. In the restaurants in Untertal you can buy a sticker, which you can use to support the Flitzemaus in preparing the trails.
There are also small cash registers at the starting points where you can make a voluntary contribution. Since the trail preparation depends mainly on the quality of the snow, the conditions cannot always be the same. The Flitzemaus and the hard-working trail workers naturally try their best.
