Radstadt-Roßbrand Tour | SW 13

Tour description

This tour follows a fully paved road from Radstadt up to the Rossbrand and is one of the classic panoramic rides in the region. The steady climb is rewarded with an impressive 360° view of the surrounding mountains.

A great place to stop is the Radstädter Hütte at the summit.

For the descent, there are several options via Bürgerbergalm, Steinalm, or Mandlberggut.

You start at the town square in Radstadt and head east. First turn left into Nagelschmiedstraße, then right into Schlossstraße, and afterwards left onto Rossbrandstraße.

From here, follow the asphalt road steadily uphill. The road climbs the mountain in many gentle curves and offers beautiful views along the way, including towards the Tennengebirge.

At around 1,720 meters, you reach a parking area. From there, continue past a barrier on a gravel section up to the Radstädter Hütte on the Rossbrand. At the top, you are rewarded with a stunning panorama of over 150 peaks.
From Salzburg: Travel by car via the A10 Tauern motorway towards Graz/Villach to the exit Altenmarkt. Then continue on the B320 towards Schladming. Take the exit at Radstadt and follow the signs to the town center.

From Graz: Travel by car via the A9 Pyhrn motorway towards Salzburg to the exit onto the B320 at Selzthal. Then continue on the Ennstal road (B320) towards Schladming. Take the exit at Radstadt and follow the signs to the town center.
