Bikepark Schladming

The 10-seater cable car takes bikers and their equipment quickly and comfortably to the top of the Planai and the start of the trails.

A varied range of trails leaves nothing to be desired in the Bikepark Schladming. Trails such as the Flowline, the Uphill Flow Trail and the Jumpline inspire both beginners and professional downhillers. A broad variety of trails guarantee maximum biking fun for everyone.

The use of the Bike-Park bears certain risks which can be limited by using common sense and by following some basic rules.

1. Operating Hours
Cable car operating hours from 09:00 to 17:00. Bike park opening hours from 9:00 to 18:00
The opening hours must be adhered to. Riding on the bike trails outside the opening hours is strictly prohibited and will be prosecuted.

2. Protective gear and bikes
Every cyclist must wear appropriate protective clothing for their ability level and the route chosen. This consists in any event of helmet and gloves. Additional protectors on the back, neck, elbows and legs are recommended. A full-face helmet must be worn on black (difficult) trails. It is also necessary to use an appropriately maintained bike suitable for the route conditions, i.e.   an all-mountain, enduro, freeride or downhill bike. It is forbidden to ride on bike routes with bicycle trailers, child seats and other similar equipment!
3. Trails
Only the marked routes in the Bikepark Schladming may be used. Riding off these routes is strictly prohibited! Non-compliance may result in administrative proceedings, an action for disturbance of property and ticket withdrawal. An absolute riding ban also applies to closed routes or route sections!
4. Using the Bikepark
The risk must be assessed before riding the trail Use is only permitted with a valid Bikepark ticket. Children and youths under the age of 16 can only use Bikepark Schladming accompanied by a guardian or a trusted person in charge. The instructions of staff must be followed, and trail closures must be observed. The conditions of transport of Planai-Hochwurzen-Bahnen GmbH must be observed. A lift pass can be confiscated in the event of failure to comply with the conditions of use/rules of behaviour.
5. Consideration of other Bikers
Every cyclist must behave in a way that does not endanger or risk harm to others.
6. Controlled Speed and Riding
 Every cyclist must ride on sight. They must adapt their speed and riding style to their ability and the site and weather conditions, along with the traffic density. The trails run through steep and technically challenging terrain that requires control of the bicycle and technical ability.
7. Line Choice
The rider coming from behind must choose their lane in such a way that the rider ahead is not endangered.
8. Overtaking
 Overtaking may take place from above, from the right or from the left but always with a distance that allows the overtaken rider sufficient room for all of their movements.
9. Stopping, Walking, Hiking

 Unless absolutely necessary, a rider must avoid stopping on the trail in narrow places or where visibility is restricted.  After a fall in such a place, a rider must move clear as quickly as possible. Walking and hiking and especially hiking or riding up the bike routes is prohibited.
10. Taking Photographs and Filming
For safety reasons, taking photos and filming are not permitted on the bike trails. Photography and filming are permitted only with the permission of the Planai-Hochwurzen-Bahnen GmbH company and by complying with specific safety regulations.
11. Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) must be obeyed
The Austrian Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) must be observed when riding on public roads. Bicycles must comply with the Austrian Road Traffic Regulations and must otherwise be pushed.
12.
Read the Signs
Every rider must read the markings, signs and signals. Particular attention must be paid at crossings (you must stop!). Bikes that do not meet the requirements of the Austrian Road Traffic Regulations must be pushed across a public road.
13. Provide Assistance
In the event of an accident, every rider is obliged to provide assistance; it is recommended that you always carry a mobile phone with you.
14.
Identity Requirements
 In the event of an accident, every rider, whether a witness or personally involved, whether they are responsible or not, must be able to provide personal identification.
15. Environment
Respect the environment! Rubbish must be disposed of in the designated places. Repairing bikes while on the trails is prohibited. The use of cold cleaners or non-biodegradable cleaning products is strictly prohibited.
16. Liability

Use of the facilities is exclusively at your own risk. No liability is accepted for any accidents, all users are liable for themselves. The operator is excluded from any liability. The operator is Planai-Hochwurzen Bahnen GmbH.
