Not only does it provide you with a good overview of all the huts, summits and lakes, it also gives you the opportunity to earn hiking pins in bronze, silver or gold.
Here´s how it works:
Download the free “SummitLynx” app from the App Store or Google Play. If you are on Facebook, you can simply sign in using your account, otherwise create a SummitLynx account. You will need to activate GPS on your mobile phone, Internet is not necessary – the app also works off-line. And at that point, you are ready to go!
The menu also includes details about hiking pins and destinations you must reach to earn them.
Once you have reached a particular destination, select the “tour diary” category, double-check that your GPS is active, press the plus symbol in the lower right corner to record a tour waypoint, then add a photograph and a short descriptive text. Tip: If you like your photo, you can immediately share it on Facebook, otherwise simply close the destination you have just reached.
The tour diary keeps a record of all your achievements, which you can then proudly share with friends and family!
