Via Ferrata Kali

The Kali via ferrata is the ideal entry point for children from the age of 7 to make their first attempts on the rock. It reaches a maximum difficulty of B on the easiest variant, although short and steep variants up to C/D are also possible on the so-called "Gemsenturm". However, these are not mandatory and can be easily bypassed.
To be safe on the way and to enjoy every moment in the mountains is the motto.

Access to Kali: from the car park at the old mill 'Zur Alten Getreidemühle‘ take a right and hike along the trail. After a few minutes, you’ll reach the entry point.
Descent: walk along the Nature Theme Trail, pass by the ‘Pension Concordia‘, walk down to the Ramsaubach (brook) and follow the Hofrat-Gruber path back to the car park.
Arriving from the west:
From the west you can take the Munich-Salzburg motorway, continuing on the Tauern motorway (A 10) until the Ennstal junction. From here take the Ennstal A-road (the B 320) for around 30 km into the Schladming-Dachstein region, then take the Ramsau am Dachstein turn-off. Continue to the Ramsau plateau and about 1 km after Ramsau Kulm turn right to Rössing and continue to the Alte Mühle parking lot.
Arriving from the north and east:
From the south-east take the Pyhrnautobahn motorway (A 9) to the Liezen junction and then the Ennstal A-road (B 320) into the Schladming-Dachstein region. Then take the Ramsau am Dachstein turn-off. Continue to the Ramsau plateau and about 1 km after Ramsau Kulm turn right to Rössing and continue to the Alte Mühle parking lot.
The starting point can be reached by hiking bus (in operation from 25.6.2022). From the bus stop "Rausch" short walk to the starting point Alte Mühle (old mill) parking lot.
Caution: The ziplines on these Via Ferrata routes can only be used with an experienced guide and a brake cable (“breaker”). Without the breaker, riders will crash into the trees at high speed, which could be fatal.
