Grimming-Donnersbachtal

Castle Trautenfels

Tour description

This nature.power.place. is being beautified for you, which is why it cannot be accessed at the moment. Construction restoration measures for this part of the Enns are expected to be completed by the beginning of 2026.

The Enns is the longest inland river in Austria at 254 km and a named part of the Enns-Drau-Watershed. This river system flows from the Niedere Tauern to the Mürzsteger Alps – through Salzburg, over Styria, and into Lower Austria.

The Enns was "tamed" as a wild river through various regulations in order to increase agricultural use. Restoration measures for the ecological rehabilitation of the Enns, while simultaneously improving flood protection, are being implemented through the EU-funded LIFE IP IRIS project. Details at https://life-iris.at/enns-steiermark. The contemporary implementation of restoration passages with fish ladders and resting areas is important today. This impressive waterway will once again fulfill its function as a connection between humans and nature.

For the water of the Enns still contains the original power of the source in every molecule. These powers come to those who resonate with the Enns and its flowing.

THE RESONANCE EXERCISE
(DRY) RIVER QIGONG

For You

  • Anchor your feet firmly to the ground by the riverbank, stand relaxed, close your eyes or take a soft gaze without a specific focus.
  • Your hands encompass an invisible ball in front of your body, pushing it away from your body with a slow, even motion as far forward as possible. Upon reaching the turning point, the hands grasp the ball and slowly pull it back toward the body. Similar movements happen downward and upward.
  • Multiple and progressively slower repetitions increase relaxation.

For Couples

  • In suitable proximity to each other, move a shared invisible ball in the same way.

For Groups or Families

  • The Water Drop Game: Form a circle and each person enjoys a brief fingers-tip head massage from all the others at the crown of their head. It should feel just like many little water drops appropriate to the proximity to water. The receiver wishes for the suitable intensity.
  • The Aquarium: All group members move as nimbly and swiftly as fish around. The focus is to fill any gaps that arise as quickly as possible.
