In the heart of the small and idyllic village you will find the church and the presbytery of St. Nikolai, surrounded by lush meadows where you will be greeted by grazing cows almost all summer long. In the middle of the Schladming-Dachstein region, you will feel transported back to distant times, the original has been preserved to this day in this small village. At the end of 2016 the vicarage was handed over to its destination as a place for „himmlisch urlauben“

Right from the accommodation one can start numerous tours. About an hour away is the Dürrmoos waterfall; here you can hike on to Hohensee! A wonderful mountain lake.

You can also hike the Knallstein directly from St. Nikoai.

St. Nikolai is also the last village before the Sölkpass. Throughout the summer there are numerous managed alpine pastures with unique regional delicacies - don't miss the Steirerkas bread!

In winter, the access to the cross-country ski runs is right in front of the door! The Sölktal is also a popular ski touring area; there are numerous signposted trails and tours - the impressive peaks are just waiting to be conquered!
