Schladming-Dachstein is easily accessible by car, train, or bus.

• By car: via the Ennstal federal highway (B320) or the A10 Tauern motorway.
• By train: direct connections from Graz, Salzburg, and Vienna to Schladming station.
• By plane: the nearest airports are Salzburg (56 miles) and Graz (112 miles).

• Ski amadé – Austria's largest ski association with five regions in Salzburg and Styria. Schladming-Dachstein is the only Styrian region and offers access to 760 kilometres of slopes with just one ski pass.

The Schladming-Dachstein adventure region is located in the heart of Austria, in the north of Styria – between the Dachstein massif in the north and the Schladming and Wölzer Tauern mountains in the south. It stretches from the municipality of Schladming in the west, which borders the province of Salzburg, to Irdning-Donnersbachtal in the east.

The region comprises six adventure centres: Schladming, Ramsau am Dachstein, Haus-Aich, the Gröbminger Land, the Sölktäler Nature Park and the Grimming-Donnersbachtal. The main town of Schladming is located at around 750 metres above sea level. The highest peak in the region is the Dachstein at 2,995 metres – a landmark that is known far beyond the borders of Styria.
