We are here for you.
The Schladming-Dachstein adventure region is located in the heart of Austria, in the north of Styria – between the Dachstein massif in the north and the Schladming and Wölzer Tauern mountains in the south. It stretches from the municipality of Schladming in the west, which borders the province of Salzburg, to Irdning-Donnersbachtal in the east.
The region comprises six adventure centres: Schladming, Ramsau am Dachstein, Haus-Aich, the Gröbminger Land, the Sölktäler Nature Park and the Grimming-Donnersbachtal. The main town of Schladming is located at around 750 metres above sea level. The highest peak in the region is the Dachstein at 2,995 metres – a landmark that is known far beyond the borders of Styria.

Spring
When the snow melts, a quiet, enjoyable time begins in the valley. Easy hikes, the first bike rides and the view of the still snow-covered peaks make spring a particularly atmospheric season for those seeking relaxation.

The cycling options range from enjoyable tours to the action-packed Bikepark Schladming, the Reiteralm Trails and the Singletrail Haus-Aich. From spring 2026, the new ‘Sonnseitn Trails’ project will provide even more flow.
With the Schladming-Dachstein Sommercard, many mountain railways, leisure and family activities are free or discounted. And in between, rustic huts invite you to enjoy alpine cuisine by Richard Rauch.
