This varied MTB tour starts in Filzmoos and leads along quiet forest roads through idyllic mixed forests up to the Schnitzberg snack station.

Along the way, you can enjoy beautiful views and a cozy place to stop with regional food. The return route is varied, combining gravel and asphalt back down into the valley.

You start in the center of Filzmoos and follow the main road slightly downhill towards Ramsau. After about 1.6 km, turn right onto a forest road. Through a gate on the left, you enter a forest area and follow the well-maintained road uphill through mixed woodland.

The climb becomes a bit steeper until you reach a clearing. From there, the route continues across meadows and through light forest back to the main road. Follow this road for about 100 meters towards the southwest, then turn left onto the old Hachau road.

This well-developed forest road leads you further uphill, and after a little more than one kilometer, you reach the Schnitzberg snack station – a great place for a break with a nice view of Filzmoos.

Afterwards, continue along the route, first on a flat gravel section, before the tour leads back to the starting point in Filzmoos on moderately steep roads.

From Graz, take the B67 and the A9/E57 towards Salzburg and exit onto the B320 at Selzthal.
Follow the B320 via Liezen and Schladming, then continue on the L725 towards Ramsau and further along Filzmooser Straße to Filzmoos.
In the village, follow the final turns to reach the town center.

From Salzburg, take the B150 and B160 to the A10 Tauern motorway towards Graz/Villach.
Take exit 60 Eben and continue on the B99 towards Eben.
At the roundabout, turn onto Filzmooser Straße and follow it via Schattbach directly to the center of Filzmoos.

From Salzburg, take bus line 270 towards Tamsweg to Eben P+R.
From there, walk a short distance to the next stop and continue with bus line 521 towards Filzmoos town center. Then walk the last few meters into the center of Filzmoos.

From Graz, take the Railjet (RJ) to Bruck an der Mur and continue with the regional train R9 to Eben im Pongau station.
From there, go to the nearby bus stop and take bus line 521 towards Filzmoos town center. Then walk the last few meters into the center of Filzmoos.
