A total of three via ferratas await you in the Silberkarklamm—Hias, Rosina, and Siega. Although the via ferratas aren’t long, they shouldn’t be underestimated, as they include sections rated D or C/D in difficulty. Overall, they are classified as moderately difficult. Experienced via ferrata climbers can certainly manage to tackle two or even all three routes in a single day. However, the via ferratas are not suitable for children or beginners.
The Dachstein massif is known for its traditional and varied alpine climbing routes. The classics include

learn moreOn the Dachstein, you’ll find a wide range of via ferratas—from easier and moderately difficult routes to very challenging ones rated C to E. These are primarily aimed at experienced mountaineers and offer spectacular alpine experiences. An example of easier via ferratas—though not for first-timers—are the ridge via ferratas such as Gjaidstein or Koppenkarstein. More challenging routes include the Anna via ferrata, while the Skywalk and Johann via ferratas are among the most extreme options.
Almost all via ferrata routes in the region are easily accessible by bus. Some access points can be reached via toll roads or mountain railways. During the summer months, it is also possible to reach the via ferrata routes on the Stoderzinken by public transportation.
