Nature.Power.Place Circuit Fürstensteig-Enns
łatwe Szlak turystyczny · Grimming-Donnersbachtal
This loop can be started in Wörschach at the municipal office or in Stainach at the sports ground. The circular tour takes you past two different water landscapes and connects them with the Fürstensteig - a beautiful forest trail between the Stainach district of Niederhofen and Wörschach. You hike along the Enns and the small Leistenbach stream, at the mouth of which the Natur.Kraft.Platz ‘Wasserplatz an der Enns’ awaits you. Along the Fürstensteig trail, you will also hike to the 4-elements nature.power.place and the rock-water nature.power.place. You will find information boards with exercise instructions at all of them.
If you start at the Stainach-Irdning train station leave the station to the north and walk up into the village. There, take Grazer Straße eastwards until you reach the Niederhofen entrance.
Take the entrance to Niederhofen and pass the cemetery with its beautiful church until you reach the crossroads. There, make a left up to the start of the Fürstensteig. At the end of the road, take the meadow path up to the Fürstensteig, which you then follow in an easterly direction to Wörschach. After a few minutes, you will reach the 4-Elements Nature.Power.Place at Friedstein Castle. Continue along the Fürstensteig trail, crossing the Lunglgraben with its little stream. Shortly afterwards you reach the rock-water nature.power.place. From there, it is only a few minutes back to the Wörschach municipal office.
If you started in Stainach at the train station, follow the same description from here as at the beginning. After the section along the Leistenbach river, take the underpass of the main road to the tennis courts and the Stainach sports field. From the entrance to the sports field, follow the sidewalk along Roseggerstraße to the sewage treatment plant and then continue straight ahead along Sallaberger Weg to Bioenergie Stainach. Here, Sallaberger Weg turns south, and you continue straight ahead to the train station in just a few minutes.
The best way to get here is by train to Stainach-Irdning station. Leave the station in a southerly direction and turn left (eastwards) onto Ennsbodenstraße. At Bioenergie Stainach, continue straight ahead to the Stainach sports ground - one of the two starting points for this tour.
If you are travelling by car, leave the B320 Ennstal Bundesstraße in Wörschach and follow the signs to the municipal office. If you want to start in Stainach, leave the B320 in Stainach and follow the main road (Salzburger Straße from the west, Grazer Straße from the east) to the Leistenbachgasse junction (south of the main road). Follow Leistenbachgasse and then Peter-Rosegger-Straße to the Stainach sports centre.
Take the train to Stainach-Irdning station - express trains also stop here. Leave the station in a southerly direction and turn left (eastwards) onto Ennsbodenstraße. At Bioenergie Stainach at the Sallabergerweg junction, continue straight on to the sports field and start the tour there. If you want to start in Wörschach, the regional trains will take you to Wörschach station in Maitschern. Alternatively, bus no. 940 will take you to Wörschach (bus stop Wörschach Ort).
Parking is available at the Wörschach municipal office or at the Stainach sports centre.
A small rucksack is useful for carrying a snack and a drink. A good jacket and trousers are basic equipment, as are good, waterproof shoes. Sunglasses and sun protection are also a good idea.
There are two places to stop for refreshments in Wörschach, Gasthof Weitgasser and Poschenhof.
